Investing in people is investing in the future of hospitality. It was a real pleasure to join The QHotels Collection at the 10th annual Purple Umbrella Awards at BAFTA 195, celebrating hospitality apprenticeships and the incredible talent, dedication and opportunities they bring to our industry.

It was particularly special to celebrate alongside the QHotels team, whose commitment to developing their people and future hospitality talent is something we’re delighted to support. This was recognised on the evening with the Hospitality Apprenticeship Initiative Award, a fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the work going into developing the next generation of hospitality talent.

Hosted by Umbrella Training, the evening was a brilliant celebration of apprentices, mentors, employers and everyone who plays a part in creating opportunities and supporting people to build careers in hospitality.

Congratulations to all the winners and highly commended finalists, and of course to the fantastic team at Umbrella Training, without whom events like this simply wouldn’t happen.

A huge thank you to The QHotels Collection for the invitation. It was a privilege to celebrate with you and to continue being part of your journey, supporting the people and talent that make hospitality such a brilliant industry.
